Regionals

In general with regionals are meant British stamps issued for use in Guernsey, Jersey, Isle of Man, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.
But there are more countries (Germany and Spain) which have issued regional stamps and therefore regionals are stamps issued for use in a specific part of a country.

Registration stamps

Registration stamps denote or include an extra fee in order to have the letter or packet specially safeguarded in the post. They may be adhesive, printed or embossed on the cover. Some registration stamps are in the form of labels and have the number written on them (Colombia).
New South Wales (Australia) issued the first registration stamp in 1856. These stamps had an oval inset with a picture of Queen Victoria. These stamps were imperforated.
Registration stamps have been issued to aware postal employees of the special nature of their delivery.

Regummed

A stamp is regummed when the original gum has been replaced by new gum. Regumming is a form of forgery and done to fool collectors, because mint stamps are worth considerably more than "hinged" stamps or stamps with no gum at all. Regummed stamps are considered to be the same as "no gum" when grading stamps.

Reprint

When stamps are printed from the original plates, but after the issue has become demonetised or obsoleted this impression is called a reprint.
In the early days of philately many Postmasters ordered extra stamps to satisfy demand from collectors for stamps that were not on sale anymore. A good example is Persia. This country ordered many reprints by Enschedé in The Netherlands.
In later years stamps have been officially reprinted by a postal administration sometimes in an identical or similar design to the classic early issue. But these stamps are on modern paper and are often in a different colour.

Revenue stamps

Stamps used for revenue purposes other than postage. These stamps are also called fiscals.

Row

A horizontal line of stamps in a sheet is called row. The vertical line is a column.
