New French art stamps

Red Cross stamp

The French Post issues a Red Cross stamp dedicated to art on 15 November 1999. The 3f stamp shows a modern work of art from Pierre-Marie Valat. André Lavergne designed this stamp and the surcharge is meant for the Red Cross.

Anton van Dyck

On the same day a stamp with the value of 6,7 francs will be issued. This postage stamp presents a very famous painting of Anton van Dyck (portrait of Charles I) and was designed by Jean-Paul Cousin.
