Easter and candlestick lily spring stamp

New stamp issues

Postage stamps commemorating anniversaries of Agricola, the Central Organization of Finnish Trade Unions, and the Football Association of Finland were issued on 7 March 2007. The Easter stamp and the candlestick lily spring stamp were issued on the same day. The postage of each of the six new stamps is the equivalent of the postage within Finland for a first class letter weighing up to 50 grams.

Easter and flowers

Ceramic artist Heljä Liukko-Sundstrdm has drawn this year's Easter stamp. It depicts a hare and a blue basket filled with colorful Easter eggs. Large white flowers float in the background.
The Easter stamp is a self-adhesive 1st class non-value indicator stamp. The stamp appears to be embossed due to the thermal powder used in the manufacturing process.

Candlestick lily postage stamp

The new stamps in March also include a 1st class non-value indicator stamp, which is resplendent with a candlestick lily drawn by Leena Airikkala (Cilium `Enchantment').
