Voted as the most beautiful stamp of 2005

Apple Blossom, designed by Leena Airikkala, was voted as the most beautiful stamp of 2005 in Finland. Apple Blossom is a 1st class non-denominated stamp. The stamp was released on 2 March 2005.
The winning stamp had 16,157 votes. A total of 74,421 votes were sent to the competition.

Wood anemone

The stamp with a wood anemone motif belonging to the Winter Egg miniature sheet won the second position in the Most beautiful stamp of 2005 competition. The value stamp is € 3.50. The wood anemone stamp had 6,117 votes. The Winter Egg miniature sheet was designed by Päivi Vainionpää. The miniature sheet was issued on 28 October 2005 in anticipation of the 150th anniversary of the Finnish stamp.

Cloudberry

The 1st class non-denominated stamp with cloudberry motif, issued on 7 September 2005, won the third position with 4,973 votes. The stamp was designed by Pirkko juvonen-Sandborg.

The Most beautiful stamp of 2005 competition was declared in the Postia Sinulle customer magazine and on the web site of the Finland Post.
