Christmas stamps with holograms

The popular series of Christmas stamps with holograms by Prikko Vahtero is concluded this year with a dark blue/violet sheet.

Christmas tree, lantern, porridge plate and snowman

This year the Christmas stamps depict a Christmas tree, a lantern, a porridge plate and a snowman. As in previous years the stamps are self-adhesive, which makes them the perfect decoration for Christmas cards and gifts.

Surplus from sales goes to charity

The extraordinary with the Aland's Christmas stamps is that the surplus from the sales goes to charity. The beneficiaries last year were the support association "Alands Barnfond" (the Aland Children's Fund) and Östersjöfonden (Foundation for the Baltic Sea). The Aland Children's Fund used the money to finance a play pavilion connected to the hospital in Aland, while the Foundation for the Baltic Sea used its share to produce information material aimed at increasing the environmental awareness.
