Beloved artist

Lill Lindfors is one of the most beloved artists in Scandinavia. Lill Lindfors spends a great deal of her time in Aland, especially in the summers as her father comes from the islands and she herself owns a summer cottage in Saltvik. Lill Lindfors is a familiar face in Aland and almost part of the local population.

Lill Lindfors

Lill Lindfors works, among other things, as a music performer, actor and lecturer. She is well known from television, film as stage. In addition to this she also released an impressive amount of albums. These days she also lectures on presentation techniques and body language. For an international audience she is probably best known as presenter of the European Song Contest in Sweden 1985.
Lill Lindfors was born in Helsinki, but lives today in Stockholm. She calls herself a Scandinavian with a strong connection to all Nordic countries.

Lill Lindfors stamp

The Lill Lindfors stamp is based upon a photo taken during a kayak trip in the archipelago near her summer cottage. "I think Aland has perfect surroundings for kayaking", Lill Lindfors explains. "Imagine gliding without a sound through shallow waters and having opportunity to get real close to the bird life. Not to mention all small islands and narrow inlets that you cannot reach with a big boat. The archipelago, the nature, the rocks and the calmness – the stamp reflects everything that I associate with Aland."
