Some Norwegian celebrities who have literally left there mark – also on Norwegian stamps – are authors. They are represented here by Johan Collet Muller Borgen (1902-1979) and Nordahl Grieg (1902-1943), who were both born a hundred years ago.

Johan Borgen leading writer

Johan Borgen was one of Norway's leading writers. He was awarded many prizes for literature and his books have been translated into more than 30 languages.

Nordahl Grieg was a journalist, sailor and author, a kind of wanderer in both the literary and the real world.
