Definitive postage stamps

The new series of definitive postage stamps of Luxembourg bearing the portrait of Grand Duke Henri was issued on 1 October 2001. This is the first series of Luxembourg stamps whose face value is expressed in euros only.

Organized in sheets of twenty stamps

The new postal values are organized in sheets of twenty stamps. Since these stamps will be reprinted on demand, and they will always be available at post office counters, they are called definitive stamps.
Supplemental values will be added to the series issued on 1 October 2001 in order to extend the range of stamps available for franking.
