The Christmas stamps of this year depict a bell, a candle, a Christmas tree decoration and a bird. The stamp sheet is designed in a red colour. The big news for this year is that each stamp is decorated with a beautiful hologram.

The stamps were designed by Pirkko Vahtero. Pirkko Vahtero is perhaps most familiar from the recurrent popular church stamps and she certainly has the ability to create moving motifs.
It has become a nice tradition in Aland that the surplus from the sales of the Christmas stamps goes to charity. This year's beneficary is the heart association of Aland.
